KUPANG - Nusa Cendana University (Undana) and the National University of Malaysia (UKM) synergize to realize joint research and publications. This was revealed during a meeting between the UKM Research Team from Selangor and the Rector of Undana, Prof. Dr. drh. Maxs U. E. Sanam, M.Sc in his office on Monday, November 21, 2023.
The Rector of Undana was accompanied by the leaders of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), namely the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Drs. Jacob Wadu, M.Si, Vice Dean for General and Financial Affairs, Dr. Mas’amah, S.P.d, M.Si, and the Coordinator of the Master's Program in Communication Science, Dr. Petrus Ana Andung, M.Si, as well as Dr. Nursalam, the Chair of the Scientific Journal Publication Workshop Committee.
While from UKM, the attendees at the mentioned meeting were faculty members from the Faculty of Science and Humanities: Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Nor Shahizan Ali, Associate Professor Dr. Zaini Othman, Dr. Junaidi Awang Besar, Professor Dr. Mohd Fuad Mat Jali, Associate Professor Dr. Novel Lyndon.
The five lecturers also served as speakers at the Workshop on the Publication of Scientific Journals at FISIP Undana, held on November 21, 2023.
At the meeting, it was agreed that an International Seminar would be held in June 2024 between UKM and UNDANA, involving neighboring countries Timor Leste and Australia. This event will also serve as the book launching for joint research, alongside other cooperation programs such as staff exchanges and exchange of educator staff. (eliz)
