POMNAS XVIII 2023: BAPOMI NTT Secures Overall Champion Title in Kempo

KUPANG - The Indonesian Student Sports Regulatory Body (BAPOMI) of East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT) successfully secured the overall champion title in Kempo during the 18th National Student Sports Week (POMNas) held in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, from November 12 to 22, 2023.

Indeed, the representatives of Kempo from NTT achieved a total of 13 medals, comprising 5 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals.

From all the participated sports disciplines (Cabor), the athletes from NTT successfully garnered a total of 21 medals, consisting of 7 gold medals, 6 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals.

Similar to previous years, the athletes represented NTT Province come from various State Universities (Perguruan Tinggi Negeri - PTN) as well as Private Universities (Perguruan Tinggi Swasta - PTS) in NTT.

Chairman of BAPOMI NTT and Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni of Undana, Dr. Siprianus Suban Garak, M.Sc, expressed immense pride in the achievements of NTT students.

Dr. Sipri mentioned that the medal achievements not only bring pride to the individuals involved but also to the NTT Province and the respective State and Private Universities where the students come from.

The medalists of the 18th National Student Sports Week (POMNas XVIII) took a group photo with the Vice Rector IV of Undana, Prof. Dr. Jefri Bale, coaches, and officials.

Here is the list of achievements and medalists in the 18th National Student Sports Week (POMNas XVIII):

  1. Marselino Varelian Fallo, a student from Undana, won the gold medal in the men's 10,000 meters athletics.
  2. Matilda O. Atok Bere, a student from UPG 1945, won the gold medal in the women's 800 meters athletics.
  3. Zakarias Naimena and Cyprianus Palbeno, students from Undana, won the gold medal in the Pair Embu (Demonstration) for Men I/II and Kempo.
  4. Stella Gratio Jehaman and Misel Mesak Selan, students from Undana, won the gold medal in the Pair Embu (Demonstration) for Men KYU II/I in Kempo.
  5. Sarah Mohar and Maria Dewita Kono, students from Undana, won the gold medal in the Pair Embu (Demonstration) for Women I/II and Kempo.
  6. Zakarias Naimena, a student from Undana, won the gold medal in the Men's 45 kg Randori category in the Kempo sports discipline.
  7. Julyano Kolbesi, Paulo P. R. J. De Maria, Stella Gratio Jehaman, and Triyuen T. A. Alexander, students from Undana, won the gold medal in the Team Embu (Demonstration) for Men in the Kempo sports discipline.
  8. Juwita Siany Koy, a student from Undana, won the silver medal in the women's 800 meters athletics.
  9. Rivalda P. S. Betan, a student from Undana, and Putri Apriani Mbatu, a student from UKAW Kupang, won the silver medal in the Pair Embu (Demonstration) for Women KYU II/I in the Kempo sports discipline.
  10. Julyano Kobesi, Triyuen T. A. Alexander, Helna Sani E. Kana, and Shendy Gabriala Toh won the silver medal in the Mixed Team Embu (Demonstration) in the Kempo sports discipline.
  11. Shendy Gabriala Toh, a student from Undana, won the silver medal in the Women's 65 kg Randori category in the Kempo sports discipline.
  12. Sarah Mohar, Helna Sani E. Kana, Shendy Gabriela Toh, and Maria Dewita Kono, students from Undana, won the silver medal in the Women's Team Embu (Demonstration) in the Kempo sports discipline.
  13. Andika Zayet, a female student from STIKOM Uyelindo, won the silver medal in the Women's 5 kg Randori category in the Kempo sports discipline.
  14. Syarief Abdurachman, a student from Undana, won the bronze medal in the Men's 50 kg Randori category in the Kempo sports discipline.
  15. Fanri F. Raga Lawa, a student from Undana, won the bronze medal in the Men's 70 kg Randori category in the Kempo sports discipline.
  16. Rosaliani Malihing, a student from Undana, won the bronze medal in the Men's 60 kg Randori category in the Kempo sports discipline.
  17. Frengki Kapoteng, a student from Undana, won the bronze medal in the Men's 800 meters and the Men's 1500 meters athletics disciplines.
  18. Juwita S. Koy, a student from Undana, and Matilda O. Atok Bere, Regina Ringu Lango, students from UPG 1945, and Lehelmina Bistolen, a student from UKAW, won the bronze medal in the Women's 4 x 40 m Relay in the Athletics discipline.
  19. Bahrudin K. Sahabu, a student from STIKOM Uyelindo, won the bronze medal in the Men's Class B category in the Pencak Silat sports discipline.
  20. Andini G. C. Aklis, a student from UMK, won the bronze medal in the Women's Class A category in the Pencak Silat sports discipline.
  21. Nurul Faizah Prasong, a student from Poltekkes Kupang, won the bronze medal in the Women's Class B category in the Pencak Silat sports discipline. (rfl)
