KUPANG \u2013 <\/strong>The Senate of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Nusa Cendana University (Undana) held a senate meeting with the agenda of electing the Dean of FKIP for the period 2023-2027. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the FKIP Senate at Undana, Dr. Markus U. K. Yewang, MM, and attended by 26 members of the FKIP Senate, as well as the Rector of Undana, Prof. Dr. drh. Maxs U. E. Sanam, M.Sc.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Based on the election results, Dr. Drs. Malkisedek Taneo, M.Si., has once again been entrusted to be the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Educationat Nusa Cendana University (FKIP Undana) for the next four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the election held in the Senate Room of FKIP Undana on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, Dr. Malki secured the majority of votes from the Senate members plus the vote from the Rector. Dr. Malki won with a total of 34 votes, followed by the other two candidates, Prof. Dr. Yantus A. B. Neolaka, S.Pd., M.Si, who received 6 votes, and Dr. Drs. Moses Kopong Tokan, M.Si, who garnered two votes.

Following the election, Dr. Malki Taneo expressed his gratitude for the prayers and support from the Senate members and the Rector of Undana. He said, \"Thank you for the prayers and support from the members of the FKIP Senate and Mr. Rector, which have led to my reappointment as the Dean of FKIP in today's election. Please continue to pray for and support me so that the work targets that were not achieved in the previous term can be completed in this leadership period.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to the election, during the presentation of the work program to the FKIP Senate members on Monday, September 4, 2023, Dr. Malki Taneo reiterated that FKIP is a shared home, thus requiring cooperation, collaboration, and mutual effort to advance FKIP. As a Dean who has re-nominated himself, he mentioned that his performance and programs have been recognized by all academic members of FKIP. Dr. Malki stated that FKIP's performance achievements, according to key performance indicators (KPIs), have exceeded 90 percent.

However, Dr. Malki feels the need to further improve his performance, with a vision of transforming FKIP into an educational institution that produces innovative, adaptive, high-quality, and strong-character graduates who can compete at the regional, national, and international levels.

Dr. Melki still needs to implement high-quality education and learning to enhance the competence of graduates. \"Learning is improved in various aspects, including curriculum, human resources, and acceleration,\" he said.

He also encourages the improvement of the quality and quantity of research conducted collaboratively within research groups based on scientific fields. Additionally, the quantity and quality of community service need to be enhanced to address issues and make an impact on society.
\"Our focus is also on local, national, and international cooperation, where such cooperation needs to be monitored from the signing of documents to implementation,\" said the History Program lecturer, who will soon be inaugurated as a Professor.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Yantus A.B. Neolaka, S.Pd, M.Si, in his presentation, stated that he would focus on transforming FKIP Undana from the perspective of the independent learning campus (MBKM). He expressed regret that FKIP has not yet become a faculty with bargaining power at the university level. This is evidenced by the fact that there has not been a single university leader who has come from FKIP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


As a Professor, he stated that he would strive to encourage all FKIP faculty members to obtain the title of professor. With the resources he possesses, Prof. Yantus claimed that he could assist his fellow faculty members in becoming professors.

On the other hand, Dr. Moses Kopong Tokan, M.Si, in his program presentation, stated that he would revitalize FKIP into a faculty that is excellent, competitive, independent, innovative, and creative. \"The way to do this is by developing education and learning that characterizes the 21st century, enhancing research in the field of education and the scientific fields of study programs, as well as improving community service based on research results to enhance the quality of education and the welfare of the people,\" he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conclusion, Dr. Moses stated that he would focus on improving the accreditation status of programs to \"very good\" and \"excellent.\" He emphasized that FKIP's performance must align with the key performance indicators (IKU) set by Undana and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
