KUPANG - In order to realize a world-class bureaucracy by the year 2045, as initiated by the Indonesian government over the past decade, the Public Administration discipline within the undergraduate (S1), master's (S2), and doctoral (S3) programs at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Nusa Cendana University (Undana) organized <\/em>1st Cendana International Conference of Public Administration (Seminar Internasional Administrasi Publik Undana ke-1).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural international seminar<\/em> was opened by Undana's Rector, Prof. Dr. drh. Maxs U. E. Sanam, M.Sc, at the Harper Hotel in Kupang City on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Five competent speakers from three countries were invited to provide substantive and comprehensive insights related to the theme \"Reform and Innovation in the Public Sector Towards a World-Class Bureaucracy in 2045.\" <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are Prof. Dr. Teguh Kurniawan, M.Sc from the University of Indonesia; Dr. M. R. Khairul Muluk, M.Si, as the Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Public Administration Association and a lecturer at Brawijaya University; Dr. Laurence P. Sayrani, M.PA, as the Head of the Doctoral Program in Public Administration at Undana's Graduate School; Jacobus Rijoly from the University of Kentucky; and Dr. Manuel Florencio da Conossa Vong from the Dili Institute of Technology. The event was moderated by  <\/strong>Sandra Clarissa Umbu Datta, S.IKom., M.Ikom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Present on the occasion were the Chief of the NTT Regional Police (Kapolda NTT), Police Inspector General Drs. Johni Asadoma, M.Hum; Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni Dr. Siprianus Suban Garak, M.Sc; Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Dr. Melkisedek N. B. C. Neolaka, M.Si; Vice Dean II of FISIP Dr. Mas\u2019amah, S.Pd, M.Si; Head of the Public Administration Master's Program Dr. Ajis Salim Adang Djaha, M.Si; Head of the Public Administration Undergraduate Program., <\/strong>Dr. Hendrik Toda, S.Sos., M.Si beserta para pengajar Ilmu Administrasi Negara di lingkungan FISIP Undana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Undana's Rector, Prof. Maxs Sanam, expressed his appreciation for the organization of the international conference by the Public Administration Department within FISIP Undana. The Rector mentioned that the field of public administration is essential in the practice of governance and bureaucracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Maxs also conveyed that through bureaucratic reform, public services can be carried out effectively. Therefore, the conference is highly significant for both faculty members and students, as it contributes to the eventual realization of world-class bureaucratic reform in the management of both national and regional governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the International Seminar Committee, Dr. I Putu Yoga Bumi Pradana, M.Si, reported that striving for a world-class bureaucracy is a goal that should be pursued, as it directly impacts the quality of public services, the efficiency of resource management, and a country's competitiveness on the international stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He explained that through reform and innovation in the public sector, an effective and efficient bureaucracy can be realized, providing faster, more accurate, and timely services to the public. However, it should be noted that the process of reform and innovation in the public sector is challenging. It requires support from all political, bureaucratic, academic, and societal elements that are committed to bringing about positive change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Reflecting on the above description, the theme we have chosen for this International Public Administration Conference is: Reform and Innovation in the Public Sector Towards a World-Class Bureaucracy in 2045,\" he clarified in front of hundreds of attending Public Administration students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This international seminar aims to expand and enrich the knowledge of Public Administration, particularly in how we perceive and understand the phenomenon of reform and innovation in the public sector happening around us. This includes changes in regulations and the use of digital technology across various aspects of the public sector, both at the central and regional levels, and even in educational institutions.
