KUPANG \u2013 <\/strong>To enhance governance and achieve the business strategy of the Public Service Agency (BLU) of Nusa Cendana University (Undana), the Internal Quality Assurance Unit (SPI) of Undana organized a workshop or training on risk management implementation for all officials and employees at the rectorate, bureaus, institutions, faculties, and other units within Undana's environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was officially opened by Undana's Vice Rector II for General Administration and Finance, Dr. Drs. Paul G. Tamelan, M.Si, at Neo Hotel Kupang on Monday, July 24th, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two competent speakers in the field of ISO, invited by Undana's Internal Quality Assurance Unit (SPI) for the event, were Dr. Agus Rahman Alamsyah, MM., MT., MS., MPM., MMC., MQM., MFP., MIFA., CSRS., CSRA., CIMA., CRP., CHRA., CRMP., CFRM., CDMP., CIISA., CBAP., CSBA., CILA., CFA., CIFRS., CRMA., CIPM., CWM., CFP, Director of Training Provider at the Indonesian Capital Market Professional Certification Institution (LSP \u2013 PM), and the Academic Director of PT Hutama Hanriz Indonesia. International and National Training, Certifications and Consultants,<\/em> Khusnul Chotimah, M.Ak., BKP., CMA., CRA., CRP., \u00a0CHRA., CRMP., CFRM., CDMP., CSBA., CRMA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his welcoming remarks, Undana's Vice Rector II for General Administration and Finance, Dr. Drs. Paul G. Tamelan, M.Si, expressed his gratitude for the presence of the two competent speakers at that moment. He acknowledged that originally the training activity was planned to be conducted for three days, to allow participants to take the competency test later. However, due to certain reasons, the event was carried out for only one day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Undana's Vice Rector II emphasized that they will continue to encourage Undana's leaders to prepare human resources for competency certification. He noted that the current training activity was attended only by the leaders. He expressed hope that in the future, all employees and lecturers in each faculty will also have the opportunity to participate in ISO competency exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"On behalf of Undana, I apologize for this, but we are striving to ensure that the human resources at Undana participate in the competency exams (certification) in the field of risk management,\" he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the situation, Dr. Paul requested that it be taken as a learning experience in risk management. He pointed out that anything that is undertaken may involve certain risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He highlighted that the cost for each individual to participate in the competency certification exam in Jakarta is approximately Rp 6 million. Therefore, he proposed reallocating funds from poorly performing activities to prioritize human resource development in the field of risk management. By doing so, it can drive the achievement of Undana's business strategy in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the crucial roles of the Internal Quality Assurance Unit (SPI) is to enhance the governance process and support the achievement of the BLU's business strategy. Therefore, this Workshop is organized with the aim of enhancing the human resources' capacity within Undana. The SPI conducted a Risk-Based Audit Workshop that encompasses risk assessment and the development of strategies, utilizing resource empowerment at the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Yohana Febiani Angi, SE., M.Aks, the chairperson of the event committee, mentioned in her report that SPI carries out its duties in accordance with the Minister of Finance Regulation Number 200 of 2017 concerning the Internal Control System in Public Service Agencies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of their responsibilities is to test and evaluate the implementation of internal controls and risk management systems. Therefore, she emphasized that the purpose of this Workshop is to enhance the human resources' capacity within Undana, particularly in the areas of risk assessment and the development of strategies, while empowering resources at the university.
