BUSAN – Universitas Nusa Cendana (Undana) dan Pukyong National University (PKNU) Busan, South Korea, have established cooperation and collaboration to realize innovative education. In addition to Undana, two East Indonesian State Universities participating in the collaboration are Cendrawasih University (Uncen) in Papua and Musamus University (Unmus).
The signing of the academic cooperation agreement was carried out by the leaders of the four universities: Prof. Dr. drh. Maxs U. E. Sanam, M.Sc, Rector of Undana; Dr. Oscar O. Wambrauw, SE., M.Sc. Agr, Rector of Uncen; Yosehi Mekiuw, SP., M.Sc, Vice Rector for Cooperation, Student Affairs, and Alumni of Unmus; and Dr. Young-Soo Jang, President of Pukyong National University (PKNU).
The signing of the academic agreement took place at PKNU, Busan, South Korea, on November 15, 2023.
This academic collaboration aims to develop a network among the parties with real connections to enhance the quality of education, science and technology, and internationalization.
All parties agree to promote academic collaboration through activities such as establishing friendly relations and cooperation; promoting mutual understanding, academic collaboration, cultural and personnel exchange (students, scholars, and researchers); and facilitating other collaborative efforts deemed beneficial to all parties.
In the academic cooperation agreement, it is stated that the parties strive to build a solid partnership through international collaboration in the fields of education, science, and culture. They aim to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development by all parties involved in this agreement.
This agreement represents the intention of the parties to collaborate in advancing academic and educational relations.

Although no binding commitments were made by the parties that bind the institutions, the parties signed this agreement as a recognition of mutual interest and as a sign of their goodwill.
This agreement will be effective from the date of signing for three years. Revisions or updates to this agreement are subject to the mutual consent of the parties.
Meanwhile, as reported on https://www.donga.com, Yukon Creative, a knowledge-based technology convergence content production company, held a welcoming event for the three Rectors from East Indonesian Universities at Jongno Tower in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on November 16 and 17, 2023.
At the welcoming event, Yukon Creative introduced the Metaverse-based experiential learning platform 'Korean Together.' Korean Together is developed for foreigners who want to learn the Korean language. It is a highly knowledgeable AI service based on ChatGPT and supports personalized AI-LMS (Artificial Intelligence Learning Management System) solutions.
