Addressing the Needs of MBKM, Undana Explores Collaboration with PT Nindya Karya and DPP ATAKI

JAKARTA – Universitas Nusa Cendana (Undana) continues to make efforts to explore collaborations with various parties. This is in response to the demands of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbudristek), particularly related to the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative.

The exploration of collaboration between Undana and PT Nindya Karya and the Indonesian Construction Experts Association (ATAKI) was conducted by Prof. Dr. Ir. Denik S. Krisnayanti, ST., MT, a Professor of Civil Engineering at Undana, and Dr. Remigildus Cornelis, ST., MT, a lecturer in Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST).

Prof. Denik explained that Undana is currently making efforts to respond to the demands of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) regarding the MBKM program. In response to these demands, Prof. Denik stated that Undana needs to collaborate with various stakeholders, including PT. Nindya Karya and the Indonesian Construction Experts Association (ATAKI).

"We can see that Nindya Karya has made significant contributions to infrastructure development in Indonesia, including projects in the NTT region, such as the Temef Dam and others," said Prof. Denik at the Headquarters of PT. Nindya Karya, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (July 6th, 2023).

Therefore, she hopes that the students of Undana can learn from Nindya Karya. "Through this collaboration, our students can undertake internships for 3-6 months to fulfill the requirement of 20 credit hours," she explained.
In addition to internships, Professor Denik added that Undana also offers the opportunity for practitioners from Nindya Karya to participate in teaching several courses, either in offline or online settings, or conduct guest lectures.

"Students also need motivation and new experiences directly from practitioners, so we hope that the collaboration in the future can involve practitioners from Nindya Karya," she requested. Prof. Denik hopes that both Nindya Karya and PT ATAKI can collaborate with Undana to encourage the young generation of NTT to contribute to the development and advancement of Indonesia, especially in East Nusa Tenggara Province."

Meanwhile, the Senior Vice President of Human Capital at PT Nindya Karya, Broto Haryadi, welcomed the collaboration initiated by Undana, represented by Prof. Denik and Dr. Remigildus. He stated that PT. Nindya Karya is very open to collaborating with various parties, including Undana.

He also mentioned that PT. Nindya Karya is involved in several projects in NTT, one of which is the Temef Dam. Therefore, he supports the internship program for students and the teaching role for practitioners offered by Undana. Furthermore, he stated that the draft of the collaboration will be reviewed soon so that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the leadership of Undana and PT Nindya Karya can take place.

Previously, on Wednesday (July 5th) morning, Prof. Denik and Dr. Remigildus also visited PT. ATAKI headquarters in Jakarta. They were welcomed by the Secretary General of DPP ATAKI, Apriyan Susanto ST.MT, and the Quality Coordinator of LSP ATAKI, Andreas Putra Tama Siahaan, SIA. During the visit, Prof. Denik and Dr. Remigildus discussed the collaboration that was being explored and handed over the documents regarding the cooperation between Undana and PT. ATAKI.
