Undana Accepts Four Filipino Students in the SEA-Teacher Program

KUPANG - Nusa Cendana University (Undana) officially received 4 (four) students from Saint Louis University, Philippines, who took part in the SEA-Teacher program,The presence of the four students was welcomed by Undana Rector, Prof. Dr. drh. Maxs U. E. Sanam, M.Sc and his staff at the Rectorate Hall, Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

The four students are Marife F. Inodayan, Maureen D. Valle, Philip Laurence C. Hufalar, and Nathan Angelo A. Retuta. They will also conduct a month-long Field Experience Practice (PPL) at SMA Negeri 3 Kupang and Sekolah Citra Bangsa, ranging from elementary to high school.

The students were also welcomed by Vice Rector III for Student Affairs, Dr. Cyprianus Suban Garak, M.Sc, Vice Rector IV for Planning, Cooperation and Information Systems, Prof. Dr. Jefri S. Bale, ST, M.Eng, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Prof. Ir. Philiphi de Rozari, M.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D, Head of the International Relations Office, Ir. Maria Lobo, M.Math.Sc., Ph.D, Principal of SMA Negeri 3 Kupang and teachers of Citra Bangsa School, ranging from elementary to high school.

Rector Prof. Maxs Sanam on that occasion expressed his welcome to the students to Kupang City, especially at Undana, SMA Negeri 3 and Sekolah Citra Bangsa to conduct learning activities with lecturers, teachers, and students.

The Rector explained that Indonesia, including East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), has a diversity of ethnicities, religions, races, languages and cultures. In addition, NTT is also an archipelago, so the 4 students from the Philippines can learn about the diversity and wealth of NTT.

Prof. Maxs Sanam also supports the SEA-Teacher program, so that students from the Philippines can exchange experiences with Undana students, and vice versa.

"I hope this activity can be useful for the students of Undana, Saint Louis University students, and students of SMA Negeri 3 Kupang and Citra Bangsa School," he concluded.

Previously, the same thing was also conveyed by the Head of IRO Undana, Ir. Maria Lobo, M.Math.Sc., Ph.D. He said, welcome to 4 students from the Philippines.

He said, previously, Undana students had carried out similar activities in the Philippines. Therefore, he encouraged that through this activity the students could learn and exchange experiences between students and teachers and students.

For your information, previously through the SEA-Teacher program,Undana students have been to Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, Philippines, from September 24 to October 20, 2023. (rfl)
